Connecting Your Router

You’ve just received your brand-new fibre router from Getwiza and need to set it up? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with our handy-dandy guide!

IMPORTANT: Your router was configured by the GetWiza team before it was sent to you for simple plug and play, please do not press the reset button.

  • Make sure your router’s WAN port connects to port 1 on the fibre box using the provided LAN cable
  • Ensure to power on both the new router and fibre box. Ideally you want both of them connected to a surge protection plug
  • Need to stay online during loadshedding? Add a router UPS to power both the router and ONT with battery power..

Using your own router? Not a problem! Depending on which Fibre Network you are connected to, you might have DHCP or PPPoE. Chat to our support team via WhatsApp to confirm the router configuration details.
