Cudy Router Setup

Setting up PPPoE #

If you’ve reset your router, follow these steps to reconfigure your Cudy WR1200 or WR1300 Router.

Before we start, please make sure that your router has been connected correctly to the fibre network. Refer to our document on how to connect your router here

Configuration Procedure

  • At the bottom of the router is a ticker which contains the default Wi-Fi name and password. Use these details to connect your computer or smart phone to the router. Alternatively, connect your computer with an Ethernet cable.
  • Once connected, open a web browser and type in the default IP address of 192.168.10.1 and press enter.
  • At the login page, type the password and press enter. Password: admin
  • Click ‘Quick Setup’ at the top of the page
  • Select ‘Wireless Router’ as the Operation Mode and click ‘Next’
  • Select the appropriate timezone and click ‘Next’
  • Under ‘WAN Mode’, select PPPoE from the dropdown.
  • Enter the username and password provided by support (WhatsApp 021 204 4878)
  • Click ‘Next’
  • Setup your wireless name (SSID) and password, then click ‘Next’
  • On the Summary page, click ‘Save & Apply’

Your router has now been reconfigured and you should be able to access the internet. Make sure to reconnect your devices to the new wireless network that you have setup in the previous step.
